Mumbai, 8th May 2025 — In a significant move to empower India’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with clean energy access, Aerem Solutions and OMC Power have announced a strategic partnership to enable ₹200 crore in rooftop solar financing. This collaboration is poised to drive widespread adoption of solar energy among MSMEs in Uttar Pradesh, facilitating a shift toward sustainable business practices and supporting India’s broader low-carbon transition.
Through this alliance, Aerem — via its Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) arm — will extend credit facilities worth ₹200 crore to OMC Power’s customers. The goal is to make solar technology financially accessible to MSMEs by offering easy and affordable financing options for energy-efficient rooftop systems.
“This ₹200 crore partnership is a pivotal step in advancing our mission of enabling a greener, more resilient India,” said Vikesh Agrawal, Co-founder & COO of Aerem Solutions. “MSMEs are the backbone of India’s economy and vital to its Net Zero ambitions. By offering them streamlined access to solar financing, we are embedding sustainability into the heart of their growth.”
Echoing this vision, Rohit Chandra, Managing Director & CEO of OMC Power, remarked, “This collaboration represents a major leap forward in democratizing access to clean energy for small businesses. By combining OMC’s grassroots energy expertise with Aerem’s financing capabilities, we’re breaking down the economic barriers that limit solar adoption among MSMEs. The impact of this initiative will be felt in lower energy costs, stronger business resilience, and environmental responsibility.”
The partnership strategically leverages Aerem’s climate-focused financing infrastructure and OMC Power’s deep reach in rural and semi-urban areas. Together, they aim to accelerate the deployment of distributed solar solutions, particularly in underserved regions like Uttar Pradesh, where MSMEs often struggle to access both clean energy and structured finance.
By unlocking capital and simplifying the adoption process, this initiative is set to empower thousands of small businesses to transition to clean energy—enhancing their competitiveness while contributing meaningfully to India’s climate goals.
