The acquisition marks a strategic move by Amadeus to enhance its portfolio with new capabilities in biometrics hardware and software. By integrating Vision-Box’s solutions, Amadeus aims to offer a seamless end-to-end passenger experience, spanning from booking to arrival at the airport, through border control, and boarding.
This strategic acquisition aligns with Amadeus’ vision to connect the travel industry through an integrated ecosystem approach, facilitating outstanding biometrics interoperability across airports, airlines, and border control authorities. It also reinforces Amadeus’ commitment to providing a frictionless travel experience, optimizing operations, and effectively managing disruptions.
