Blue Bells School Organises ‘Hands-on Workshop’ for Better Career Decision

29th May 2017: With the aim of upgrading knowledge about the different career options and learn different skills through hands-on experience, Blue Bells Model School, Gurugram organized a ‘Hands-On Workshop’ for the students of classes VIII-X. The workshop was conducted by a team of 15 students from IIT-Delhi, NLU, NIFT and DU.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Chandan Dhawan , Principal, Blue Bells Model School said, “We conducted a practical hands-on workshop for career selection which proved to be beneficial for the students and also increased their knowledge about the various career options.

The purpose of the workshop was to create and spread awareness about the careers in different sectors for the wave of aspiring students looking forward to step foot for building their career.

The orientation session consisted of an introduction of four fields’ electrical engineering, psychology, law and fashion designing. Moreover, the session aimed to inform the students to join an 8-day workshop, in IIT Delhi to achieve an exposure in the realm of engineering, psychology, law and fashion designing. The students witnessed the demonstration of clap circuit, mind games and dissembling of a mobile phone along with video clippings.

The upcoming 8 days workshop at IIT Delhi Campus will offer a unique blend of theoretical and industry related practical knowledge which includes enhancement of skills towards wholesome development. Students will build the electronic device, fight moot cases, will design t-shirts and conduct psychological experiments. At the end of the workshop, all Students will be given Certificates.

Ritvik Sharma, a student of IIT, Delhi, is alumni of Blue Bells Model School who initiated this informative session said “Students are often confused to make the right career option. Hence, such workshop at an early stage helps to provide a foundation for students to know their interests, abilities and challenges”.

The students appreciated the efforts as it was an eye-opener for all the young aspirants.
