The Startup Leadership Program (SLP) is a highly selective, global, world-class training program and lifelong global network for outstanding founders, leaders, and innovators who want to become startup CEOs. The program began in Boston in 2006 with seven Fellows (participants). It has grown to 28 cities in 13 countries. Every year 15-25 Fellows join the program in every city. SLP Fellows have founded nearly 1600 successful startups & raised more than $500M in funding.
The SLP batch of Chennai has been active for the last 6 years. The batch of 2018-2019 have 21 startups and the final graduation session is being organized on April 13th 2019, 9.30 am at Amazon Development Centre in Chennai. The graduation day was titled “Emerge 2019”. The current batch of fellows are in domains like Hyper Local Commerce, Agriculture, Education, Mental Healthcare, Tourism, Food and Technology. Each startup has an exciting story to tell and unique problem to solve. This Saturday, April 13th 2019, marks the culmination of SLP Chennai Cohort with Demo Day – Emerge 2019.13 founders will pitch their startups to 5+ investors at Amazon Development Centre, Chennai. Eminent Investor Panelist like Vijay Anand of Sulekha, Bhoovarahan Thirumalai of Aspiration Energy, Raman Govindharajan of Indian Angel Investment, Chakravarthy of Villgro Investments and Balram Nair of Chennai Angels will be available to listen pitches.
Guest of Honour like Lena Kannappan – COO of 8K Miles Software Inc. USA, Kuppulakshmi – Chief Evangelist ZOHO for Startups, Balachandar – Founder and CEO of wassup, will be available for graduation ceremony.
