With the shadow of upscaled and glamour startups from Bangalore, the startup race has too many obstacles to overcome. There is no better way to tackle the hurdles than finding like-minded startup founders.
The Startup Leadership Program is a highly curated community driven offering that accelerates the growth of the founders. The nonprofit organisation was founded in 2006 in Boston and has since has expanded to 26 cities in 12 countries.
The well-rounded SLP Bangalore cohort has been running since 2011. Last year, 29 highly motivated individuals were selected to be a part of the Bangalore cohort. The Startups come from varied domains like AgriTech, FinTech, CleanTech, Sustainable lifestyle, IoT based, Enterprise, AR, AI focused and healthcare. The Program Leaders focused on diversity within the cohort to amplify cross-pollination of ideas.
The following startups are part of the current cohort – AIndra Labs, Criador Design Labs, ShareAnBuy, Mesha Energy, Picanva, Campus-Live!, GingerCup, amita.ai, WrightInk, Green Mantra, Bizex, DeepSight AI Labs, HappyLocate, Member Centrum, Fasal, AmbuCare, Oxy.Fitness, igloo.ai, and Saveo.in. This Thursday, April 4th 2019, marks the culmination of SLP Bangalore Cohort with a gala Demo Day – Uprise 3.0. 25 Co-Founders will pitch their startups to 70+ investors at Nasscom 10K startup warehouse. The event is sponsored by L&T. Rajiv Srivatsa, the co-founder of Urban Ladder, will deliver the keynote. The mega event will host investors from Sequoia, Saif, Matrix, Stellaris, Accel, Orios, Barclays, Sprout Capital and Inventus.
SLP offers a six-month program focusing not just on the idea but the founder. During these six months, the fellows meet on every two weeks for roundtable discussions or lectures with industry leaders, VCs and mentors. SLP Bangalore has also include startups from other SLP cohorts across India. The application for the next cohort will begin in a few months.
