Bengaluru, India. — February 1, 2023: Suki, the leading provider of voice AI technology in the healthcare industry, has welcomed Dr. Stephen Kahane to its board of directors. Dr. Kahane brings a wealth of experience in sales, marketing, product and customer success from his time as an operator and operating advisor. Currently serving as an executive advisor at New Mountain Capital, he has been instrumental in the success of companies such as Datavant, Cloudmed (now R1), and Signify Health. Before joining Suki, Dr. Kahane spent eight years at athenahealth where he served as Executive Vice President and President of the Client Organization. Under his leadership, the company saw its revenue grow from $250 million to over $1.3 billion.

A groundbreaking study by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Innovation Lab revealed that Suki Assistant users achieved a 72% decrease in median documentation time per note, which equates to approximately 3.3 hours saved per week for each clinician. With Dr. Stephen Kahane joining the board of directors, Suki is poised for even greater success in 2023 as the company implements updates and improvements to its leading product line.

At the start of his career, Dr. Kahane held the positions of Medical Director and IT Development Director at Johns Hopkins Medical Institution. He was also a faculty member of the medical school. Dr. Kahane completed his residency and obtained his Master of Science in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins and his Doctor of Medicine with honors from Emory University, including induction into the AOA Honor Society and recognition as a Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude graduate. Currently, he is a member of the Advisory Board for the Dean of the Johns Hopkins School of Engineering.
