Bhubaneswar, October 20, 2023: The highly anticipated Odisha Startup Investor Connect Event, Fundstack, is back for its 3rd Edition, Fundstack 3.0. This prestigious program promises to be Odisha’s largest gathering of renowned investors. Over two days of insightful events and pitch sessions, startups will have the opportunity to secure funding from angel networks and venture capitalist firms.
The virtual launch of Fundstack 3.0 was officiated by Dr. Omkar Rai, Executive Chairman of Startup Odisha, Govt. of Odisha, on October 20, 2023. He also unveiled the dedicated website where startups can begin their applications for this invaluable program and take the first step towards securing funding from investment partners.
Dr. Rai reflected on the remarkable success stories that emerged from the last edition, serving as inspiration for both established and aspiring entrepreneurs in the state. The 20 finalists from the previous Fundstack event had the chance to connect with leading investment firms from across the country. Notable startups such as Transport Simple, Homvery, Carbon Out, LarkAI, and more successfully secured their initial rounds of fundraising.
Dr. Omkar Rai announced that Fundstack 3.0 will provide a platform to introduce the Odisha Startup Growth Fund (OSGF) and welcome more partners to join the Startup Odisha initiative. The goal is to further nurture the growth of Odisha’s thriving startup ecosystem.
This year, 50 selected startups will undergo an investment readiness workshop guided by experts and mentors. They will subsequently pitch their ideas to investors on November 21, 2023. The top 20 startups will then advance to dedicated one-on-one meetings during speed dating and networking sessions at the grand closing ceremony on November 22, 2023.
Fundstack 3.0 is designed to offer indigenous startups vital exposure to the world of funding and help them navigate the intricacies of modern entrepreneurship. This initiative aligns with Odisha’s ambitious vision of becoming India’s premier startup hub, with a goal of nurturing 5000 startups by 2025.
