Menswear brand The Bear House lands a ₹3 crore investment from Shark Namita Thapar, reinforcing its growth in premium smart casuals.

The ₹3 crore investment comprises ₹1 crore for a 1% equity stake and ₹2 crore as debt. The fast-growing contemporary men’s apparel and accessories brand is projected to surpass ₹140 crore in net revenue this year, achieving over 40% year-on-year (YoY) growth.

Bengaluru, March 17, 2025 – The latest episode of Shark Tank India on Sony LIV saw an exciting moment for contemporary menswear brand The Bear House, as co-founders Tanvi and Harsh Somaiya secured a ₹3 crore investment from Shark Namita Thapar.

The deal includes ₹1 crore for a 1% equity stake and ₹2 crore as debt, with Thapar—Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals—backing the brand’s vision for expansion and scalability. Competing for the deal, Shark Kunal Bahl also offered ₹3 crore for 3% equity at a ₹100 crore valuation, but the co-founders ultimately chose Thapar’s offer, believing it aligned better with their growth strategy.
