IMCAS Asia 2019 aimed at bringing together the most prominent physicians from Asia to share ground breaking research & developments in the medical aesthetic market and help delegates and exhibitors get a better glimpse of the tendencies and expectations specific to the Asia Pacific region. The event witnessed the participation of over 200 exhibitors around the world. Highlighting the role of Combination Hair Transplant Techniques in Hair Transplant, Dr. Amit Gupta said, “The combination technique plays a very important role in Hair Transplant procedure, giving better results to the patient. The merge of the two harvesting techniques, FUT + FUE, allows perfect combination for the restoration of extensive baldness, bringing a safe grafting along the exact direction of the original hair.”

While speaking on Indian Scenario on Liposuction, Dr. Gupta said “Liposuction is the commonest aesthetic procedure performed in India. A combination of rich food, sedentary lifestyle and a peculiar body habitus predisposes the Indian population to accumulation of significant fat deposits. In addition, fascination for minimally invasive procedures and reluctance for scars make liposuction the procedure of choice for body contouring in Indian patients.”

Increased demand coupled with media-fed images of scarless surgery with minimal downtime has resulted in liposuction being perceived as a procedure without complications. Hence, some adventurous non-surgeons perform it in conditions far from safe and no knowledge of tackling complications.”, he further added.

Dr. Amit Gupta has also authored two books- ‘17 Absolute Must know Facts about Hair Transplant’ and The Icelandic Voyage. With over a decade of experience in Aesthetics Surgery, Dr. Gupta has successfully conducted more than 5,000 Hair Transplant surgeries, 900 Liposuction surgeries, and around 4,000 Gynecomastia surgeries which is a testimony of his success.
