New Delhi | July 16, 2025 — Edtech leader PhysicsWallah (PW) has appointed seasoned marketing strategist Satish Sharma as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). The move comes as PW continues its rapid growth trajectory across multiple educational segments, including test prep, higher education, international study, and skill-based learning.
With over two decades of cross-functional leadership, Sharma brings deep expertise in entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and strategic marketing. He previously served as COO and CMO of Unyscape, a global marketing and analytics firm, and held key positions at IBM and Tata Steel, contributing to large-scale operational and technology rollouts. An alumnus of IIT Varanasi, Sharma now steps into a pivotal role at PW—tasked with steering brand strategy and strengthening market resonance as the company scales.
“Joining PhysicsWallah at this point in its journey feels incredibly purposeful,” said Sharma. “Its mission to democratize education resonates deeply with me, and I’m excited to help amplify that impact with authenticity and empathy.”
PW’s founder and CEO Alakh Pandey welcomed Sharma’s appointment, citing his blend of strategic clarity and operational depth. “As we enter our next phase of growth, Satish’s experience will be key in shaping a differentiated brand that learners trust and love.”
With the company expanding across new geographies and segments, Sharma’s mandate includes building scalable, insight-led marketing ecosystems to drive measurable business outcomes and deepen student engagement.
