National, 28th August 2025: BharatPe, India’s leading financial services and UPI payments company, today announced the launch of Unity Bank BharatPe Credit Card, in partnership with Unity Small Finance Bank (Unity Bank).

The Card brings industry-first features designed to make everyday payments including groceries, bill payments, travel, utilities, insurance premiums, and lifestyle spends, both online & offline, smarter and more rewarding. Offered on National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) RuPay network, the card can be seamlessly linked to UPI, enabling secure and convenient payments across millions of merchants in India.

Revolutionary EMI-First Approach

What truly sets this card apart is its groundbreaking EMI-driven model. Every eligible transaction above ₹1,000 is automatically converted to easy Equated Monthly Instalments (EMIs), providing customers with manageable repayments while reducing the risk of debt traps commonly associated with revolving credit on traditional cards.

The flexible EMI structure offers:

  • Transactions ₹1,000-₹9,999: Default 3-month tenure with 1% rewards
  • Transactions ₹10,000 and above: Up to 12-month tenure (user customizable) with unlimited 2% rewards
  • Transactions below ₹1,000: Must be repaid in full by the next due date

With a competitive interest rate of 2% per month (24% APR) charged on reducing balance, customers benefit from decreasing interest as they pay down the principal amount.

Comprehensive Zero-Fee Structure and Rewards

With a zero-fee structure, the card does away with all hidden costs. There are no joining charges, annual fees, processing charges, or foreclosure penalties. Customers also enjoy the flexibility to prepay their EMIs anytime without penalties, making credit access transparent and stress-free with up to 48 days of interest-free credit period.

The card’s reward system is equally compelling, offering unlimited flat 2% rewards (Zillion Coins) on every EMI conversion above ₹10,000, and 1% on transactions between ₹1,000-₹9,999, across all merchant categories and platforms, without restrictions. Zillion Coins can be redeemed via the BharatPe app for brand vouchers, products, or even to pay credit card bills.
