Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Dr. Mohan Yadav launches Delberto

GWALIOR, September 8, 2025: Delberto, India’s pioneering SaaS-based e-commerce platform for underserved communities, today launched Craftgroom, a specialized digital marketplace developed in partnership with the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB). The platform was officially unveiled by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav at the Regional Tourism Conclave 2025 in Gwalior, marking a significant milestone in connecting rural artisans with domestic and international markets.

Bridging Traditional Craftsmanship with Digital Commerce

Craftgroom addresses critical market access challenges faced by rural artisans through a comprehensive digital ecosystem that streamlines the entire sales process. The platform enables craftspeople to focus on production excellence while providing structured pathways to reach customers across India and globally.

The marketplace integrates essential e-commerce functions including catalog management, order processing, secure payment systems, and fulfillment logistics into a unified platform designed specifically for traditional artisan communities.

Quality Assurance Through Government Certification

A key differentiator of Craftgroom lies in its quality assurance framework. Products listed on the platform carry official MPTB certification marks, providing buyers with verified authenticity and adherence to established quality standards. This government backing enhances consumer confidence while protecting the integrity of traditional Madhya Pradesh craftsmanship.

The certification system creates a trusted marketplace environment where buyers can purchase authentic handcrafted products with confidence in their provenance and quality standards.

Comprehensive Artisan Support and Training

Beyond providing digital infrastructure, Craftgroom emphasizes capacity building for artisan communities. Delberto has successfully onboarded over 50 artisans through the initial rollout phase and targets expansion to 500 participating craftspeople by year-end.

The platform includes structured training modules designed to support first-time digital sellers. These educational programs cover digital tool adoption, product data standardization, and participation in promotional campaigns aligned with tourism circuits and state marketing initiatives.

Strategic Vision for Livelihood Infrastructure

“We view Craftgroom as essential infrastructure for sustainable livelihoods,” said Prateek Ojha, Founder of Delberto. “Our collaboration with MPTB enables us to integrate authentication, logistics, and digital storefront capabilities into a single comprehensive system, ensuring that authentic crafts from Madhya Pradesh can be discovered, trusted, and purchased at scale.”

The initiative reflects Delberto’s broader mission to democratize e-commerce access for underserved communities while preserving and promoting traditional Indian craftsmanship through modern digital channels.

Launch Within Broader Heritage Development Framework

The Craftgroom launch was integrated into a comprehensive heritage and tourism development announcement at the Regional Tourism Conclave 2025. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav simultaneously announced ₹17 crore in development projects at Phoolbagh under Swadesh Darshan 2.0, ₹58.46 crore in initiatives for Raja Mansingh Tomar Music and Arts University, and a detailed conservation and beautification action plan for Gwalior Fort.

The Conclave, themed “Timeless Gwalior: Echoes of Culture, Spirit of Legacy,” brought together policymakers, investors, and cultural leaders to align heritage preservation with sustainable economic development and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Market Impact and Scalability

Craftgroom represents a scalable model for integrating traditional artisan communities into India’s rapidly expanding digital economy. By providing certified authentication, streamlined logistics, and comprehensive seller support, the platform creates sustainable income opportunities while preserving cultural heritage.

The initiative demonstrates how strategic partnerships between technology companies and government agencies can create meaningful economic opportunities for rural communities while maintaining authenticity and quality standards.
