Shaastra is the annual technical festival of IIT Madras. It is the largest technical fest of its kind in India and has the distinction of being the first ISO 9001:2008 certified student-organized event in the world.
Shaastra aims to grow and evolve into a technical festival which involves everyone; be it budding engineers, young entrepreneurs, future policy makers or even technocrats. The underlying philosophy of Shaastra is to promote creative thinking and to showcase innovative technology and this is being upheld through various channels.

Tech and Innovation Fair (TIF) is one of the Flagship events of Shaastra 2018 which provides a platform to bring forward a hard core tech project or prototype and convert it into a minimum-viable product (MVP) with well-structured business mentoring that would ultimately ensure its success as a market-shelf product with a suitable target consumer pool.
