Kashmir, (January 07, 2023) – Acmo Network, a software development and IT services company based in Kashmir, has been recognized as one of the top startups in India by the government’s Startup India platform.
The company was chosen through various programs and rounds of evaluation, and is the only company from J&K to be showcased on the platform. The Startup India Showcase is an online platform that features innovative startups that have made a positive impact in society by solving critical problems. Acmo Network is a service-startup and was one of 157 startups selected from across the country.
“We are proud to say that our company is the first and only company from J&K that is being showcased on the Startup India platform. We will continue to work in smart, harder and faster ways to achieve the higher heights that could only be imagined.”, said Davood Wani, CEO of Acmo Network.
In addition to providing software development and IT services, Acmo Network has also invested in research and development, leading to the creation of its own range of projects. These include SaaS software for businesses and a government-sponsored project for an IoT platform to aid people with disabilities. The project, which is currently in the prototype development phase at SMVDU TBI, is focused on quadriplegic patients and aims to improve their lives by providing a unified app and optional hardware add-ons for device compatibility. The app allows users to control wheelchairs, press buttons, change TV channels, and adjust room temperature and lights, among other things. It also enables them to easily use computers, allowing them to pursue their careers, learn online skills, and work from home. The idea was pitched on the Startup India platform and received positive feedback from organizations such as Nasscom and Microsoft’s “Innovate for an Accessible India” initiative, where it was a top 5 finalist in its category across India.
Acmo Network has also developed a software for schools that has helped them function during the COVID-19 lockdowns and continues to offer a range of features for managing records and automating workflows. The company gave free subscriptions to many schools until December 2021 in response to the education disruption caused by the pandemic. In addition to serving businesses of all sizes and sectors, Acmo Network is also helping rural regions take advantage of the modern digital age. As the first IT company in the northern rural region of J&K, it is helping the local economy grow and enabling locals to compete in the e-business arena. The products and services offered by Acmo Network have not only created jobs in the local region, but have also helped local businesses grow. In addition to serving local clients, the company has also expanded to include a national and international client base.
