  • Launches the Hubballi edition of the three-city event as Aequs Chairman highlights the importance of embedding science and innovation into children’s education.

Hubballi, December 26, 2024: Aequs Foundation proudly inaugurated the Hubballi edition of Avishkar 2024-25, its flagship Science Fair and Model Making Competition. Held from December 19 to 21 at the Anasuya Melligeri Science Centre, the three-day event provided an inspiring platform for students to showcase their scientific innovations and connect with peers who share a passion for science.

The event featured 31 unique science models created by 62 students from 31 schools, exemplifying creativity and problem-solving skills. A Science Quiz Competition was also organized, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and collaboration among participants. Following Hubballi, Avishkar will take place in Koppal on December 27 and in Belagavi on January 21.

Speaking at the inauguration, Aravind Melligeri, Chairman & CEO of Aequs, highlighted the significance of integrating science and innovation into education. He stated, “Incorporating science and its applications into children’s learning acts as a catalyst for early development. By fostering curiosity, we help children unlock their potential and nurture a lifelong passion for science. Avishkar is designed to ignite that spark and inspire young minds.”

Over the past eight years, Aequs Foundation has been instrumental in transforming education in government-run schools near its operational regions, contributing over 31 lakh learning hours. Its initiatives span from early childhood education in Anganwadis to career-focused programs for older students, reinforcing its commitment to comprehensive educational development.

Dr. Praveenkumar Naik, AVP at Aequs, emphasized the Foundation’s focus on teacher training and professional development. He noted the success of various programs for educators and the recent launch of an initiative to prepare future teachers from B.Ed. colleges. Avishkar exemplifies the Foundation’s dedication to advancing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education, empowering young learners and fostering innovation.
