Mumbai, 27th February 2019: Aidia Technovations has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from a group of investors. Earlier, Aidia had raised fund in June, 2018. Company mainly plans to use funds for team expansion, technology, content creation, Legend onboarding and branding for its co-curricular marketplace, imd1 (I Am The 1).
Company also announced expansion of board with joining of ex-LIC Chairman Shri Dinesh Kumar Mehrotra as Non-Executive Director. Shri Mehrotra was associated with Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and associated companies for more than 38 years and retired as Chairman of LIC. Shri Mehrotra has previously served on the boards of ACC Limited, ITC Limited and Tata Steel, among others and continues to be on the board of eminent companies, in the listed and private space.
On joining Aidia Technovations board, Shri D K Mehrotra said, “After meeting imd1 team and understanding their idea and plan, I was very happy to support the company as it grows. I believe their product of co-curricula courses will be a win-win for the course audience and the mentors.”
Company also on-boards celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani as Brand Ambassador for Art and as Legend for imd1 Photography course offerings. Dabboo Ratnani is an ace fashion and celebrity photographer, one of the most sought after in the film fraternity. His annual celebrity calendar since 2000 is one of the most awaited and buzzing annual event in the photography industry. He was recently awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke award for excellence in Photography. He has also been awarded as the No. 1 and the most influential photographer by Asian Photography Awards. He is also a judge of the famous MTV series, India’s Next Top Model.
