Bengaluru, September 30, 2026: AM Green Ammonia (India) Private Limited (“AM Green”) has been selected as the sole winner of the Asian lot in the H2Global auction run by HINT.CO GmbH (“Hintco”), securing a long-term purchase agreement for the supply of Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBO) ammonia to Germany.
Over 10 years, Hintco will purchase ammonia from AM Green for a minimum value of €585 million, with potential for additional volumes through resale proceeds in the European market.
Production & Delivery
- Ammonia will be produced at AM Green’s Kakinada Phase 2 project in Andhra Pradesh, India.
- Conversion of an existing natural gas-based ammonia and urea complex into a renewable ammonia facility using alkaline electrolysis technology.
- Electricity supplied via AM Green’s round-the-clock renewable power architecture backed by pumped-hydro storage, meeting EU requirements.
- First deliveries to Germany expected in 2029, shipped from Kakinada Seaports.
Strategic Impact
The agreement positions AM Green as a leading exporter of green molecules to Germany and Europe, while underlining H2Global’s role in de-risking early-mover projects through double-auction mechanisms.
