Bangalore, December 3, 2024 – Bangalore Hospitals proudly served as the official medical partner for the Thump Celebration Marathon 2024, held on December 1, 2024. With over 4,000 participants competing across various categories, the event celebrated fitness, endurance, and community spirit.
Bangalore Hospitals ensured participant safety with a team of 30 healthcare professionals providing on-ground medical support and addressing injuries and emergencies. A key highlight of the marathon was the unveiling of the Bangalore Stroke Center, located at the Kengeri and Jayanagar branches of Bangalore Hospitals. Spearheaded by Dr. Suhas, Consultant Neurologist, the center is designed to handle stroke emergencies with advanced technology and expert care. Services include:
- Thrombolysis within the critical 4.5-hour window for acute stroke management.
- Mechanical thrombectomy for advanced stroke treatment.
- 24/7 emergency neurology care with in-house diagnostic facilities such as a Cath Lab, 160-slice CT, and 1.5T MRI.
- Free 24/7 ambulance service for stroke patients.
