Metaforms, headquartered in Bengaluru, develops advanced AI agents that enable leading market research agencies to scale project capacity by 10x. With $9M in Series A funding, the company will triple its Indian R&D workforce and deepen AI innovation.

Bengaluru, July 31, 2025 — AI startup Metaforms has secured $9 million in a Series A funding round led by Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia India), alongside Nexus Venture Partners and Together Fund. The company is pioneering workflow automation for global market research firms through its advanced suite of AI agents.

Founded in 2022 by Akshat Tyagi and Arjun S, Metaforms is tackling operational bottlenecks plaguing research agencies burdened by manual processes and legacy systems. Its AI-powered platform automates key functions like survey programming, data processing, and vendor coordination—enabling agencies to execute 10x more projects without compromising on quality.

The funding will be used to:

  • Triple its Bengaluru-based engineering and AI research teams
  • Expand AI capabilities to include voice-based research and automated report generation
  • Deepen integration with research tools such as SPSS, Decipher, and Confirmit

Since its commercial launch just six months ago, Metaforms has signed four of the top 20 global research agencies, including Strat7, and now supports projects for multiple Fortune 500 clients. The platform currently processes over 1,000 surveys per month and boasts a 100% client expansion rate, with every customer scaling usage beyond their initial engagement.

“Metaforms is redefining how agencies deliver insights in an AI-first world,” said Shailendra Singh, MD, Peak XV Partners. “Their ability to scale survey infrastructure and reduce turnaround friction is transformational.”

“This team deeply understands customer pain points—and their AI-first execution is world-class,” added Jishnu Bhattacharjee, MD, Nexus Venture Partners.

Manav Garg, Co-founder of Together Fund, noted, “Metaforms exemplifies the India-to-global playbook—reimagining research infrastructure from the ground up.”

Metaforms aims to process over 100,000 surveys annually within the next few years, while expanding agent functionality across multiple languages and voice-centric workflows. The company’s mission is clear: empower agencies to grow capacity, serve diverse client needs, and improve business decision-making at scale.

“Our goal isn’t to replace researchers—but to amplify their impact,” said Akshat Tyagi, Co-Founder & CEO. “When agencies grow, the world makes better decisions.”
