Co-op programme in Visual Communications launched in India for the 1st time by Ecole.intuit.lab Mumbai

31st July, 2018, Mumbai: Ecole intuit.lab announces the commencement of its new 10 month postgraduate diploma Co-Op (Co-operative programme) aimed at budding designers working in the Design field. The programme will allow students to enhance their skills as they combine their practical work experience with classroom-based professional education taught by industry experts.

The unique programme is divided into 3 segments:
– Agency – Students spend 3 weeks a month within professional agencies with exposure to first-hand industrial experience with pay; working as a Junior Art Director/ Junior Graphic Designer.
– Seminars – 1 week a month is spent at the intuit.lab campus attending seminars by industry veterans. Subjects include Marketing, Semiotics and Design Philosophy among others.
– Brand Project Design – Each student gets to implement a branding project on an individual basis

The programme is targeted to freshers working in the design and creative industry. Support for agency placement will be provided by the institute. Post the completion, the candidates will have necessary skills for career progress.

Jamila Varawala, Dean at Ecole intuit.lab says, “Design is everywhere in our world today. The Co-op programme will help prepare candidates who want to excel in the high-energy industries of branding and advertising. They will be exposed to timeless creative principles, plus the latest technologies and trends to meet the demands of our design-hungry culture. All this while they are gainfully employed. It’s really a win – win situation for selected students.

This professional course starts in September 2018 and is open to those who have a degree/diploma in design, visual communication, graphic design, commercial or fine arts. Ecole.intuit.lab is also accepting applications from candidates without formal qualifications who can provide evidence of their creativity.
