Key highlights of this day included a ‘Filmathon’ in cinema rooms along with the screening of popular TV series like FRIENDS, Big Bang Theory, Permanent Roommates to name a few. Speaking on the idea behind the event, Suresh Rangarajan, Founder and CEO, Colive, said, “From metropolitans like Bangalore and Mumbai to tier II cities like Jaipur and Lucknow, the trend of co-living is catching up across India. Especially, young adults and millennials have turned to co-living facilities on the back of convenience, comfort and affordability. With the concept of community living increasingly popular and more commonplace by the day, we certainly felt the need for introducing a day dedicated to co-living. While we are the first one to initiate this, we hope that other co-living players in the country will follow suit and celebrate first Saturday of June every year as the ‘International Co-living Day’.”

“The event itself was a huge success, proving how co-living has found a place in the heart young professionals. Co-living is no longer just a new phenomenon, it has become a necessity,” he added.
