FUJIFILM India Unveils New Compact Ultrasonic Probe System at BRONCHUS 2023

– The PB2020-M2 radial probe will improve operability and has been optimized for more efficient examinations. Also on display was the video bronchoscope EB 710P, equipped with a CMOS video sensor.

1st  February 2023: FUJIFILM India, a leader in healthcare imaging and information systems, unveiled its expanded endoscopy solutions portfolio with the introduction of the PB2020-M2 compact ultrasonic probe system at the 3rd Annual Conference on Interventional Pulmonology, BRONCHUS 2023 in Hyderabad. The conference was attended by leading pulmonologists from 18 countries and showcased FUJIFILM India’s comprehensive range of pulmonology solutions through its unique “Experience Center” at the trade exhibition.

The new PB2020-M2 compact ultrasonic probe is designed to provide real-time ultrasound imaging of peripheral lung lesions with greater efficiency. Its compact, lightweight design is user-friendly and delivers high-resolution ultrasonic images. With an outer diameter of 1.4-1.9 mm, it can easily pass through 2mm working channel bronchoscopes.

At the conference, FUJIFILM India’s Endoscopy Division also displayed the slimline Video Bronchoscope EB-710P, which features an exceptionally compact CMOS sensor. With a tip diameter of just 4.1 mm, this thin endoscope is capable of easily penetrating the periphery of the lung compared to conventional systems. It also has a rotation mechanism for safe and easy return to its original position before withdrawal.

Dr. Nobuyasu Awano of the Department of Respiratory Medicine at the Japanese Red Cross Medical Center, Tokyo, Japan gave a lecture on the EB-710P and its clinical benefits during the event. The PB2020-M2 and EB-710P were launched in the presence of Dr. Harikishan Gonuguntla, Lead Consultant at Yashoda Hospitals in Hyderabad, and other medical industry professionals including Dr. Arjun Khanna, Dr. Binil Salam, Dr. Yuvarajan, Dr. Don Gregory, who shared their experiences with the newly launched systems.
