Hyderabad, February 4, 2025 – Ashwini Sawrikar, Chief Operating Officer of Artha Bharat Investment Managers IFSC LLP, has been awarded the prestigious Women Chartered Accountant of the Year Award by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The award was presented by Union Minister of Law & Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal at a distinguished ceremony, attended by ICAI President Ranjit Kumar Agarwal, Vice President Charanjot Singh Nanda, and ICAI Central Council Member & WMEC Chairperson Priti Paras Savla.
As the investment manager of the ₹1,100 crore Artha Global Opportunities Fund, the first distressed debt fund set up in GIFT City (Gujarat International Finance Tec-City), Artha Bharat is at the forefront of India’s evolving financial landscape. In her role, Ms. Sawrikar oversees risk management, compliance, back-office operations, HR, finance, and administration, playing a pivotal role in the company’s success.
Instituted by ICAI, the CA Women Excellence Awards recognize women Chartered Accountants who have made significant contributions to the profession and society. It honors individuals who mentor members, conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, and drive positive change.

Qualifying as a Chartered Accountant at just 22 years old, Ms. Sawrikar completed her rigorous CA journey alongside her graduation, beginning her career at Gokhale & Sathe. Over the years, she has held key positions in multinational auditing firms and foreign banks in India.
Her expertise is further strengthened by globally recognized certifications, including:

From 2021-2024, she served as the Finance Director of Indian Schools in Oman, where she now chairs the Academic Committee.
