The standout feature of the pavilion was a cutting-edge Virtual Reality (VR) simulator, a first-of-its-kind initiative by Hindustan Zinc. This immersive simulator provides a realistic training environment for Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) operators, equipping them to navigate diverse underground conditions while enhancing safety and operational efficiency.

Showcasing Sustainability and Heritage
The company displayed high-quality zinc products, including Special High-Grade (SHG) Zinc, various alloys, and EcoZen—Asia’s first low-carbon ‘green zinc.’ Produced using renewable energy, EcoZen represents a 75% reduction in carbon footprint compared to global averages, underscoring Hindustan Zinc’s sustainability leadership.

Exhibits included rare samples of Sphalerite (zinc ore) and Galena (lead and silver ore), along with ancient zinc retorts—2,500-year-old inverted clay pots from Zawar, Rajasthan—offering visitors a fascinating link between the company’s historical roots and modern innovation.

A visual installation showcased the diverse applications of zinc, tracing its journey from mining to essential modern-day uses in infrastructure, automobiles, and consumer products.

Empowering Communities Through Social Impact
Hindustan Zinc also highlighted its flagship social impact initiative, Project Sakhi, aimed at empowering rural women. Products crafted by self-help groups, including pickles, ghee, honey, and textiles, were displayed and sold at the event, receiving enthusiastic responses from attendees. The company’s community interventions, spanning education, health, women’s empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods, have positively impacted over 20 lakh people across 237 villages.
