Ignisia Presents BACK TO BAALPAN India’s First Nostalgia-Powered, Immersive Carnival for Children & Families

Gurugram, 26th August 2025 – IGNISIA, the pioneering youth-led experiential platform, has launched Back to Baalpan, India’s first nostalgia-powered, immersive carnival for children and families, at Mount Olympus School grounds, Sector 47, Gurgaon. Despite heavy rains and challenging conditions, the event drew large crowds from across Delhi-NCR, all eager to relive the simple joys of their own childhood and gift those memories to the next generation.

Helmed by IGNISIA’s visionary founders—Monieka Khanna (Founder)Neha Sarna (Associate Partner), and Jasbir Saini—and graced by celebrity guest MD Desi Rockstar, the launch created a buzz across the capital, blending heartwarming retro games with authentic Indian culture.

Back to Baalpan by IGNISIA Rekindles Childhood Magic with 90s-Themed Family Carnival

A Carnival Unlike Any Other: Memory-Making Beyond Screens

Back to Baalpan brings together over a dozen themed interactive zones that restore the spirit of the 80s and 90s through:

  • Traditional Indian games like gully cricket, kho-kho, pithu, hopscotch, and aankh micholi
  • Live storytelling, puppetry, and mascot-led adventures
  • Dramatic “time tunnels,” unplugged stage performances, and laughter corners
  • DIY and creativity zones crafted just for children
  • Slam books, retro food courts, and nostalgic photo booths

Throughout the evening, familiar tunes from the golden era and a lineup of stage games, riddles, and crowd-favorite competitions created a vibrant yet deeply sentimental atmosphere. Attendees, both young and old, danced, sang, and rediscovered the innocence of childhood—free from screens.

A Movement to Reclaim Family Bonding

“Back to Baalpan is not just an event, but a living tribute to the magic of childhood—of stories, friendships, and unplugged joy,” shared Monieka Khanna, Founder of IGNISIA. “We aim to build a memory vault for every family—a place to slow down, reconnect, and remind ourselves that joy does not come with screen time, but with shared experiences.”
