Mumbai | 24th January 2020: imd1 – I Am The 1, the co-curricular hub by Aidia Technovations has onboarded world-renowned Martial Arts Champion Vivek Teja as a Legend for Martial Arts courses.
Vivek Teja is an internationally acclaimed Martial Artist and the first Indian to have acquired expertise in eight martial art styles of the world. He has participated in over 20 international championships and won 60 medals including 27 Gold, 17 Silver and 16
Bronze medals in International, National and State level tournaments. He is 6th Degree Black Belt (RokuDan) and has been presented International Referee Certificate by WUKO International Referee Council, India. He is also a 2 times USA Open Gold Medallist in 2018 and 2019 and Silver Medallist at WGKF World Karate Championship. He has represented India in 2018 CommonWealth Karate Championship at Durban, South Africa and is aiming
for Olympic Gold medal in Karate at Tokyo Olympics, 2020. Vivek Teja was born and brought up in Nalgonda, Telangana, where he developed his interest in learning martial arts. He has invested his entire life in learning Karate, MMA, Kick Boxing, Boxing, Kalaripayattu, Silambam, Taekwondo, Muay Thai and many other styles. Vivek Teja has also trained some well-known celebrities of the film industry. He has conducted many Self Defense Workshops and trained more than 19,000 women and girls in Self Defense techniques globally. He also runs Human Weapon academy for martial arts training and specialisation in 11 countries including India, USA, Australia, Dubai, Japan, Malaysia amongst others.
imd1 – I Am The 1 offers result oriented international level standardized courses in Music, Art, Dance & Sports (MADS), which are endorsed by legends of respective co-curricular. Vivek Teja shall be the legend for Martial Arts courses for school kids, adults, corporates, women specific, etc., addressing its need across India.
