Bengaluru, 29 August 2019: Quikr, the company that redefined classifieds by building India’s largest transaction marketplaces has signed a partnership agreement with LaundryAnna, a doorstep laundry services startup, to expand access to its hyperlocal household services business, QuikrEasy. This strategic alliance will not only bring QuikrEasy one step closer to organizing India’s largely fragmented on-demand home services category, but also strengthen its overall online-offline convergence strategy.

LaundryAnna offers laundry and dry cleaning services. It allows users to schedule a pick-up using its doorstep service and an option to drop laundry at its offline stores. Through its college laundry team/van, LaundryAnna also provides this service for colleges wherein students can drop their garments at a designated space and time slot in the respective campus every alternate day. Currently, LaundryAnna sees good traction for its physical stores within residential complexes as well.

“This partnership furthers our deep stack capabilities, thus offering customers easy access to laundry among many other services provided on our platform. We are also working towards creating business opportunities for SMEs in the laundry space and to provide online-offline experience to our consumers. This tie-up will further help us enhance the operational metrics of QuikrEasy as a vertical, thus doubling up efficiency and trust in this segment,” said PD Sundar, Head of QuikrEasy.

Commenting on this partnership, Prateek Rana, Founder at LaundryAnna said, “We can now offer our capabilities and offerings to Quikr’s large consumer base, as they benefit from our in-house logistics and processing unit. Having served Bangaloreans, we have been helping busy professionals with their laundry needs and are excited to scale our offline stores with strong backing from Quikr.”

LaundryAnna is currently operational in Bangalore with five physical stores in Koramangala, Madiwala, Electronic City, BTM Layout and Marathahalli. LaundryAnna plans to scale-up in partnership with Quikr.
