Mumbai | 23 September 2026: M3M India and Hurun India have unveiled the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2026, celebrating India’s leading wealth creators.

This year’s edition identifies 1,810 individuals with wealth of INR 1,000 crore or more, a rise of 128 from last year. Their combined wealth stands at INR 187.5 lakh crore (USD 1.96 trillion) — nearly half of India’s GDP.

India now counts a record 391 dollar billionaires, up 27 from last year, spanning 106 Indian cities.

Key Highlights

  • Gautam Adani & family reclaim the top spot with INR 9.23 lakh crore (USD 96Bn), overtaking Mukesh Ambani & family at INR 8.63 lakh crore (USD 90Bn).
  • Nagendra Nagaraja of QpiAi becomes India’s first quantum computing entrant, debuting with INR 1,700 crore.
  • LN Mittal & family rise to third place with INR 3.39 lakh crore, the largest absolute gain on the list.
  • Anil Agarwal & family of Vedanta Resources climb to ninth with INR 2.08 lakh crore, up 87%.
  • Samir Mehta & family of Torrent Pharmaceuticals enter the top ten at tenth with INR 1.89 lakh crore, following the JB Chemicals merger.
  • Artificial Intelligence debuts as a standalone sector with 19 entrants worth INR 3.07 lakh crore.
  • Aerospace & Defence adds 23 entrants worth INR 85,200 crore.
  • Roshni Nadar Malhotra & family remain India’s richest woman at INR 2.79 lakh crore, ranked fifth.
  • 131 women feature on the list, including 33 dollar billionaires.
  • Mumbai leads with 465 individuals, followed by New Delhi (236) and Bengaluru (129).
