National | February 10, 2026: MIC Electronics Limited, a leading provider of railway electronic systems and passenger information solutions, has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Northern Railways for the execution of passenger information and telecom infrastructure works valued at ₹1.46 crore.
Project Scope
The project involves the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a comprehensive passenger information and telecom system designed to deliver real-time train and platform updates.
Key deployments include:
- Passenger Information Systems (PIS): LED-based coach guidance display boards, train formation “at-a-glance” boards, GPS-based platform clocks, and indoor display units.
- Backend Infrastructure: RMS servers, Central Data Controllers (CDC), Platform Data Controllers (PDC), networking racks, structured cabling, and system integration software.
- Supporting Infrastructure: Optical fibre cabling, CAT-6 data cabling, UPS systems with battery backup, power supply arrangements, earthing systems, conduit piping, trenching, and restoration works.
All supplies and works will conform to RDSO specifications and the Indian Railways General Conditions of Contract (IRGCC), April 2022, under the supervision of the Signal & Telecommunication Department of Northern Railways.
The project will commence immediately upon issuance of the LoA and is scheduled for completion within three months.
