New Delhi, 15th May 2025 — MedVital, a next-generation MedTech startup revolutionizing wound care and minimally invasive aesthetics, has raised ₹8.4 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Nihar Parikh’s 4point0 Health Ventures. The round also saw participation from an impressive roster of operator-investors, including the founders of Tata 1mg, NephroPlus, SafeExpress, Eye Q Hospital, Hexa Health, and AstroTalk.
As India’s healthcare system grapples with rising cases of hard-to-heal wounds—driven by aging, diabetes, obesity, and trauma—there’s also growing demand for aesthetic, minimally invasive solutions. Both areas are underserved, yet urgently require outcome-oriented, technology-driven interventions that are accessible and affordable.
MedVital aims to bridge this gap by creating India’s first integrated platform focused on complex wound care and minimally invasive aesthetics. Its flagship innovation, NoWound™, is a compact, Made-in-India Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) device designed for controlled, precision healing across hospitals, clinics, and home-care environments. Unlike traditional NPWT systems, NoWound™ is digitally enabled, affordable, and built to operate effectively in resource-limited settings.
“We founded MedVital with the conviction that skin repair and restoration deserve as much innovation as any critical medical discipline,” said Dr. Varun Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO. “Our mission is to democratize access to advanced wound care and aesthetic treatments by integrating intelligent monitoring, evidence-based devices, and next-gen biomaterials. This funding enables us to expand our impact and reach more patients across India.”
The capital infusion will support the expansion of MedVital’s product suite, enhance its supply chain capabilities, and scale its distribution to serve tertiary hospitals, rural clinics, and at-home care segments.
Tarun Bansal, Co-Founder and COO, added,
“We envision India becoming a global innovation hub for wound care and skin regeneration. Our goal is to deliver solutions that are not just effective in ICU settings but also scalable to every home and clinic that needs them.”
Nihar Parikh, Founder of 4point0 Health Ventures, shared,
“We back visionary teams tackling India’s healthcare challenges at scale. MedVital’s unique approach to chronic wound care and minimally invasive aesthetics—grounded in clinical evidence and accessibility—is exactly what the market needs.”
Looking ahead, MedVital plans to launch liquid chitosan-based dressings for chronic wounds and expand into dermal and hair regeneration therapies, unlocking new frontiers in both therapeutic and aesthetic care.
With a science-first approach, deep clinical insight, and strong backing, MedVital is poised to become a category-defining leader in regenerative medicine—built in India, backed by science, and designed for global impact.
