New Delhi | 6th April 2020: Shiprocket, a tech-enabled logistics aggregator for D2C sellers, has stepped up to ease the delivery of essential goods in India. While the ongoing lockdown has affected the logistics services across the globe, Shiprocket is allowing sellers to leverage its network and facilitate seamless delivery of essential goods to customers.

The decision to assist the shipment of essential goods comes amidst the lockdown in the country aimed at controlling the Coronavirus contagion. During this time, Shiprocket is taking careful measures and adhering to the Government advisory for the shipments of goods.

Commenting on this, Saahil Goel, Co-founder and CEO, Shiprocket said, “While this is a challenging time, it is also an opportunity for the world to come together. With combined efforts and innovation, we can ensure that life goes on without any halts or hassles. On our part, we are working to overcome this challenge by onboarding new partners on with their own networks for intracity deliveries to ensure that essential shipments are not impacted. We also plan to start intercity shipments for essential goods with our existing courier partners.”

Incepted in 2016, Shiprocket works with MSMEs operating in the e-commerce sector, providing shipments to around 220 countries across 26000 pin codes. Shiprocket today has 1.5 lakh sellers on board and works with 15 courier partners.
