Spicetree Design Agency’s fourth edition of the “The Street Store” brings smiles to faces of numerous children

Mumbai, 11 February 2019: Spicetree Design Agency (SDA) organized the 4th edition of The Street Store on 10th February 2019 at the Gramin Vidyalaya in Dahisar, Mumbai. As part of this, the venture displayed hand-me-down clothes and accessories for kids as well as their parents and family. Over 140 children and around 100 adults from in and around participated in the event to gather this unique shopping experience for the first time. The Street Store is the world’s first rent- and premise-free pop-up clothing store for the less fortunate.

Through The Street Store, SDA endeavors to build lives and lift spirits together. The company has been hosting the event in Mumbai since 2017 with the purpose of changing and enhancing lives for the better and create a transformation at a manageable scale. In the past, it was organized on the streets of Mumbai and witnessed a turnout of over 1000 people, who came to choose clothes and accessories and left with huge smiles!

Speaking about this, Mr Mehmood Khan, Director, SDA, said, “While SDA empowers brand through its effective tools and solutions, we are also focused on doing our bit for the society and its people. After all, a business must be inclusive of its surroundings. We are committed to this larger goal and through The Street Store, we are trying to give back in whatever way possible to the society. We hope to carry forward the initiative in other regions of Mumbai and bring smiles on the faces of more people.”

In another initiative, SDA is planning to set up a computer lab in Gramin Vidyalaya this year. The idea behind this is to enable better education for the children and introduce them to newer concepts..

Adding his comments, Mr Dinesh N Patil, Head Master, Gramin Vidyalaya, said, “We are happy and thankful to the staff and members of SDA for bringing this unique initiative to our school. The smiles on people’s faces speak volumes about their feelings as they take home clothes and gifts which they could perhaps not have access to otherwise. We also look forward to the computer lab in our school as it would greatly benefit the children and their learning.”

SDA also hosted The Street Store thrice before exclusively for the less fortunate kids wherein they provided brand new school supplies and study materials for them to choose from. The company endeavors to create brands that impact lives and experiences that bless them. In their quest towards this, SDA chose the path of ‘giving’. Understanding that everything starts with giving and sharing with people, SDA aims to give back wholeheartedly to be thankful for what they have been graced with.
