Chennai | July 23, 2025 — The 1st edition of the “Innovate in Tamil Nadu (IN2TN) IP Conclave” will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Thiru. Udhayanidhi Stalin on July 30, 2025, at the prestigious Anna Centenary Library, Chennai. Organized by the Tamil Nadu Technology Hub (iTNT), the conclave is themed “Intellectual Powerhouse: Transforming Tamil Nadu into the Innovation Capital of India”, and is positioned to catalyze industry-academia collaboration in IP creation, protection, and commercialization.

A Strategic Push Towards IP Leadership
Conceived as part of Tamil Nadu’s broader innovation blueprint, the conclave was announced in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly in June 2024 by Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Hon’ble Minister for Information Technology & Digital Services. He emphasized Tamil Nadu’s leadership in patent filings, driven by the state’s thriving Deep Tech ecosystem.

IN2TN aims to deepen IP awareness, unlock tech transfer opportunities, and elevate Tamil Nadu’s position as a national leader in innovation,” Dr. Thiaga Rajan stated.
