It was a warm Mumbai afternoon when Pankit Desai, co-founder and CEO of Sequretek, leaned back in his chair and said the words that would define the company’s next leap: “Every asset matters.”

That conviction became the driving force behind Percept CTEM — Continuous Threat Exposure Management, Sequretek’s boldest move yet in the fight against cyber threats.

From Vision to Vanguard

In 2013, Pankit and Anand Naik co-founded Sequretek with a simple but audacious vision: to build an Indian cybersecurity company capable of competing with the biggest names worldwide. Over the next decade, they secured the trust of over 150 enterprises, raised $13 million in funding, and developed a suite of security products that became essential to digital defense.

But the threat landscape was shifting. Cyberattacks were no longer aimed solely at “crown jewel” systems — instead, attackers were exploiting overlooked entry points: a forgotten SaaS account, a misconfigured server, or a neglected IoT device.

For Pankit, that was unacceptable. The answer was Percept CTEM — designed to give organizations real-time, end-to-end visibility of every asset and close vulnerabilities before they could be exploited.

What Makes CTEM Different

Part of the larger Percept suite — which also includes XDR & NG SIEM, Identity Governance, EDR, and Compliance Manager — CTEM acts as the central intelligence layer, integrating data from these tools and external platforms.

Its mission:

  • Prioritize risks based on real business impact.
  • Automate responses to shrink the attack window.
  • Orchestrate defenses so security teams aren’t working in silos.

“Our vision is simple,” Pankit says with a smile. “A world with zero unpleasant security surprises. CTEM is not just another tool; it’s a force multiplier.”

Why Now? The Hyper-Connected Reality

Cloud migration, SaaS proliferation, partner integrations, and remote work have expanded attack surfaces faster than annual audits can track. Traditional compliance frameworks offer snapshots in time — but attackers move in real time.

CTEM replaces static snapshots with a continuous four-step cycle:

  1. Visibility – Map the entire attack surface, down to hidden blind spots.
  2. Gap Analysis – Assess vulnerabilities, dependencies, and true business risk.
  3. Action Planning – Prioritize exposures based on exploitability.
  4. Execution – Coordinate teams, processes, and tools for measurable risk reduction.

Gartner predicts that by 2026, organizations adopting CTEM will be three times less likely to suffer a breach.

AI and Automation: The Game Changers

CTEM’s philosophy is amplified by AI and automation — speeding up detection, reducing human fatigue, and ensuring consistent execution.

  • Threat Detection: AI scans network, identity, and cloud activity, catching anomalies traditional tools miss.
  • Exposure Mitigation: Automation instantly patches or reconfigures risky assets before attackers act.
  • Security Operations: AI consolidates related alerts into actionable incidents, slashing response time from hours to seconds.

“AI doesn’t replace analysts,” Pankit notes. “It frees them from repetitive tasks so they can focus on strategic decisions.”

The Road Ahead

Sequretek is targeting 50% annual growth over the next three years, expanding in India, scaling in the U.S., and reaching global markets through a network of 300 partners — equally split across India, the U.S., and the rest of the world.

Strategic alliances, like the one with Aryaka Networks Inc., will help accelerate this global push. Innovation remains the backbone — with enhancements to CTEM and new products like Percept Compliance Manager already in the pipeline.

From India, For the World

From a startup in Mumbai to one of India’s most recognized cybersecurity names, Sequretek’s journey is a story of resilience, vision, and relentless execution. But the mission hasn’t changed since day one.

As Pankit puts it: “We want to empower businesses to face the future without fear.”

And with Percept CTEM at the helm, that future looks a lot more secure.
