The Wedding Company Secures $1M Pre-Seed Funding to Transform India’s Wedding Industry

Bengaluru, India | July 15, 2025TheWeddingCompany.com, a full-stack digital wedding planning and fulfillment startup, has raised $1 million in pre-seed funding from top-tier investors. The round was led by LVX (formerly LetsVenture) and Tremis Capital, with participation from industry leaders including Chaitanya Ramalingegowda (Co-founder, Wakefit), Ajith Pai (COO, Delhivery), and Arash Ferdowsi (Co-founder, Dropbox).

The fresh capital will fuel the company’s geographic expansion, tech development, and the scaling of its vendor partner ecosystem — aimed at standardizing wedding service delivery across India’s fragmented $130 billion market.

Founded in 2023, The Wedding Company is building India’s first tech-enabled platform for seamless wedding execution — offering curated solutions across venues, photography, décor, catering, and logistics. In just two years, the platform has delivered ₹60 crore (~$7.2M) in service orders, managing over 1,000 weddings across eight cities. Monthly bookings have surged 100x, crossing ₹10 crore in service orders and ₹1 crore in net revenue, positioning the startup as one of the fastest-growing in its category.

“Weddings in India are emotionally rich and operationally intense,” said Pawan Gupta, Co-founder of The Wedding Company and MIT alumnus. “While the opportunity is massive, no brand has truly solved wedding fulfillment at scale. We’re combining deep operations with smart tech to change that.”
“This is a high-friction, high-value problem in a massive market,” added Chaitanya Ramalingegowda. “The Wedding Company team impressed us with their execution speed and strategic clarity.”

Led by second-time entrepreneurs and supported by seasoned investors, The Wedding Company is on a mission to reinvent how India plans and executes its biggest life event — by delivering affordability, reliability, and delightful experiences at scale.
