New Delhi | January 14, 2026: WAE, a leading Indian enterprise specializing in sustainable drinking water and water management systems, has announced that its entire portfolio of drinking water coolers has been awarded Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification under IS 1475:2024. This milestone strengthens WAE’s compliance framework and readiness to serve infrastructure‑led and regulation‑driven deployments across India.

Certification Scope

  • Applies to all WAE drinking water cooler models with rated capacities above 10 litres/hour up to 150 litres/hour.
  • Evaluates products across material safety, hygienic water contact surfaces, electrical protection, mechanical integrity, and operational reliability.
  • Scope is limited to drinking water coolers; excludes hot water dispensing and reverse osmosis (RO) systems.

A. Vikram Joshe, Founder & President, WAE, said: “Securing BIS certification is not just a regulatory achievement—it is an affirmation of our engineering approach to product development. Compliance was embedded at the design and manufacturing stages, ensuring conformity to national standards is intrinsic, systematic, and repeatable.”

He further added: “Institutions deploying drinking water infrastructure assume responsibility for the health of large user populations. BIS certification provides independent validation of safety, hygiene, and performance—critical assurance for procurement professionals and institutional buyers.”

Application Environments
The BIS‑certified portfolio is engineered for high‑usage, high‑reliability environments including:

  • Educational institutions
  • Healthcare facilities
  • Offices and industrial workplaces
  • Public infrastructure and commercial establishments
  • Residential complexes
