Athulya Senior Care Hosts Dementia Care Programme in Chennai

Chennai | 19 September 2026: Athulya Senior Care, in collaboration with Madras Medical College (MMC) and Athulya Academy, organised a two‑day academic programme titled “Comprehensive Dementia Care: Current Concepts, Clinical Skills and Future Directions” on September 18–19, 2026 at Athulya Senior Care, Maduravoyal, Chennai.

The programme focused on strengthening understanding of dementia care and equipping nurses, nursing faculty, students, and healthcare professionals with updated knowledge and practical skills to support older adults living with dementia.

Programme Highlights

• Sessions covered current concepts, clinical approaches, and evolving needs of dementia care.
• Multidisciplinary participation from geriatric medicine, neurology, nursing, and psychiatry experts.
• 60 healthcare professionals attended, enabling knowledge exchange and practical learning.
• Inaugurated by Prof. Dr. R. Shankar Shanmugam, Principal, MMC and Registrar, Tamil Nadu Nurses & Midwives Council.
