Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Limited (“Akums”), India’s largest Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO), has received Board approval to acquire the manufacturing business of Oriflame India Pvt. Ltd. through its subsidiary Pure and Cure Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.

The acquisition covers two manufacturing facilities in Roorkee, Uttarakhand and Noida, Uttar Pradesh, along with a leased warehouse in Noida, for a cash consideration of INR 56 crore.

Manufacturing Capabilities
The acquired facilities bring diverse capabilities across:

  • Skincare: Creams, lotions, scrubs, face wash, serums.
  • Hair Care: Shampoos, conditioners.
  • Color Cosmetics: Lipsticks, foundations, primers, mascara, eyeliners.
  • Wellness Products: Various formulations supporting holistic care.

Both plants are equipped with European-make machines for processing, filling, and labelling, supporting small to large batch sizes. They are also Halal certified, enabling global exports.
