National, 27 August 2024: Blue Energy Motors, a leader in green fuel truck manufacturing, has achieved a significant milestone with the rollout and sale of its 500th truck from its state-of-the-art facility in Pune. This accomplishment marks a pivotal step in advancing sustainability, as each Blue Energy Motors (BEM) LNG truck emits substantially fewer greenhouse gases than traditional diesel-powered trucks. With production scaling up, Blue Energy Motors offers the heavy-duty trucking industry a viable and immediate solution to decarbonize and positively impact climate change.
The celebration took place at the Chakan facility in Pune, with Mr. Anirudh Bhuwalka, CEO of Blue Energy Motors, and the senior leadership team in attendance.

With this milestone, Blue Energy Motors’ LNG truck fleet has already covered over 20 million kilometers, leading to a reduction of more than 5,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
The BE 5528+ tractor, the first model introduced by Blue Energy Motors in September 2022, marked the company’s entry into the LNG-fueled truck market. Since then, the BE 5528+ has successfully reduced the logistics carbon footprints of the cement and steel industries. Featuring FPT’s multipoint stoichiometric combustion engine technology, the truck offers best-in-class total cost of ownership (TCO) and operates more quietly than conventional fuel-powered trucks. With 280 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque, it stands as one of the most powerful liquefied natural gas trucks available in India. The truck boasts the industry’s first 990L fuel tank, providing a range of up to 1,400 kilometers on a single fill, ensuring comprehensive coverage as the LNG dispensing network expands. The BE 5528+ also offers a spacious driver cabin with an air-suspended seat and automatic climate control, ensuring a comfortable experience on long hauls. Additionally, the truck’s parameters are continuously monitored using advanced AI and ML-enabled proprietary telematics, ensuring top-tier productivity, supported by BEM’s extensive network touchpoints.
With a production capacity of 10,000 trucks, which can be further expanded as market demand grows, Blue Energy Motors has firmly established itself as a disruptor in the clean energy heavy-duty trucking sector.
