National | 22nd November 2019: With an objective to bring the most unique and contemporary looks to its customers without compromising on the quality and pricing factors, Candere by Kalyan Jewellers, one of India’s leading online fine jewellery stores, has announced the launch of its ‘Islet’ collection. A modern, lightweight, and affordable collection, Islet is meant for the millennial heart that wants to look and feel their best both in their mundane 9-5 routines and in their occasional outgoing sprees! The collection has been designed by Tanuja Susaria from Vogue Institute of Art & Design, Bengaluru, who won Candere’s recently-held contest and interned under its design team’s able mentorship and training.

The brand had organized a jewellery-designing contest in June this year to find, hone, and harness the talents of budding artists from across the country. Christened ‘Envisage—Your sign, Your design!’, this contest witnessed an overwhelming participation and they finally narrowed in on Tanuja Susaria and Komal Nagdeo as its winner and runners-up respectively. The launch of Islet by Tanuja was preceded by Ginni, a quirky collection of wearable jewellery centered around gold coins designed by Komal.

Islet essentially derives the inspiration for its design from bitter oyster mushrooms—a shape and texture that has not been explored yet in the field of jewellery. The most important feature of this collection is its colour and the use of enamel to highlight its texture, giving it a unique and contemporary edge over any other product offered by the brand. It is available in yellow and rose gold, and consists of rings, earrings, bracelets, kadas, pendants, and lariat necklaces.

Sharing an insight behind the launch of Islet, Rupesh Jain, Founder and CEO, Candere remarked, “As a brand, Candere has always been committed to unlocking the limitless possibilities in the domain of jewellery, bringing the best and the most unique of the lot for its customers. As players in the market, we have also realized the immense potential that budding jewellery designers all across the country have, and we aimed at tapping into this huge talent reservoir through Envisage. It is really heartening to see how passionately the two winners have worked on their respective collections under the guidance of our in-house design team, and I sincerely wish that they witness great success through this venture. I would like to congratulate Tanuja for coming up with such a wonderful concept as Islet. After registering such an overwhelming response for Ginni, we are all geared up to bring Islet to the market and we hope that this collection resonates with our customers just as well.”

Candere seeks to bring the unique texture of a mushroom to the world of jewellery with Islet. The brand has announced the launch of this collection on November 30th, and its range starts from INR 5000 approx.
