Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India | 27th August 2025: In a powerful step towards environmental restoration, CoinEx Charity, the philanthropic arm of global cryptocurrency exchange CoinEx, partnered with Seerakku NGO and the CRPF to plant 2,000 palm seeds at Ambattur Lake, Chennai—a critical waterbody for the region’s ecosystem.
The large-scale plantation drive witnessed the active participation of over 200 CRPF personnel and 50 volunteers, carried out in coordination with CRPF and ExNoRa under the Green India Mission and Tamil Nadu Wetland Mission.
The initiative was inaugurated by Thiru Joseph Samuel, MLA (Ambattur), and Shri M. J. Vijay, DIG (Principal, RTC CRPF Avadi). The collaboration brought together government representatives, security forces, and community organisations, reinforcing the importance of collective responsibility in ecological restoration.
Planting Seeds of Sustainability & Hope
For CoinEx Charity, this initiative embodies its global theme, “Bridge to Hope”, which focuses on empowering underserved communities by promoting sustainability, inclusion, and equal opportunities. The palm seeds planted at Ambattur Lake symbolise not just environmental renewal but also resilience, unity, and hope for future generations.
“Every seed we plant is a promise of a better tomorrow,” a CoinEx Charity spokesperson shared, emphasising that each tree represents lasting change and balance between technology, nature, and compassion.
Building a Greener Future Together
Mr. S.P. Dinesh, Founder of Seerakku, added:
“At Seerakku, we believe every seed is a step towards a carbon-neutral India. The Ambattur Lake plantation is more than an environmental effort—it’s about inspiring communities to take shared responsibility. When citizens, security forces, and organisations unite, we don’t just fight climate change, we create a sustainable legacy for generations.”
With initiatives like these, Ambattur Lake is not only being restored but also reimagined as a symbol of collaborative action towards a greener, more sustainable India.
