Editorial Policy

Last updated: 31st March 2026

In brief: We do not sell, trade, or guarantee links. Every external link on Startup Success Stories India is included, edited, qualified, or removed solely at our editorial discretion.

Startup Success Stories India exists to inform, connect, and support India’s startup ecosystem. We publish credible founder journeys, startup news, funding and product updates, ecosystem developments, interviews, practical insights, and opportunities that help entrepreneurs build better businesses.

Our first responsibility is to our readers. We do not publish content primarily for backlinks, search-engine manipulation, or promotional placement.

Editorial Principles
We aim to publish content that is relevant, accurate, useful, original, and verifiable. Our content is intended for founders, aspiring entrepreneurs, startups, investors, incubators, accelerators, students, and ecosystem partners.

  • We select content independently based on editorial merit and reader value.
  • We disclose material commercial relationships, sponsorships, partnerships, and conflicts of interest.
  • We may fact-check claims and request supporting information before publication.
  • We may edit, decline, update, add disclosures to, or remove submissions at our editorial discretion.
  • Publication, coverage, placement, or links are never guaranteed.

What We Publish
We welcome original, useful, startup-relevant story ideas and submissions, including:

  • Founder interviews and startup journeys.
  • Product launches, milestones, and significant business updates.
  • Funding announcements supported by verifiable information.
  • Case studies sharing practical lessons, challenges, pivots, failures, or growth insights.
  • Incubator, accelerator, university, investor, government, and community opportunities.
  • Events, grants, fellowships, hackathons, competitions, and ecosystem initiatives.
  • Expert contributions that provide original, practical knowledge for entrepreneurs.

What “Editorial Merit” Means to Us
We look for submissions that are:

  • Original – not published elsewhere or substantially the same as existing coverage.
  • Startup-focused – relevant to founders, entrepreneurs, or the ecosystem.
  • Credible – claims backed by evidence, official statements, or public records.
  • Useful – readers learn something new or gain an actionable insight.
  • Well-structured – clear, scannable, and grounded in real examples.

A submission must offer genuine value beyond self-promotion, and should include a named founder or spokesperson rather than relying on anonymous claims.

What We Do Not Accept
We do not accept or publish:

  • Paid “dofollow” links, guaranteed backlink placements, or link-selling arrangements.
  • Link exchanges, reciprocal-link arrangements, or three-way link schemes.
  • SEO guest posts created mainly to obtain a backlink.
  • Requests for specified anchor text, particularly exact-match or keyword-rich anchor text.
  • Pre-written promotional articles with little editorial or startup-ecosystem value.
  • Unverified funding, revenue, client, award, investment, or performance claims.
  • Plagiarised, spun, unreviewed AI-generated, or substantially duplicated content.
  • Content unrelated to startups, entrepreneurship, innovation, business building, or the startup ecosystem.
  • Gambling, adult content, illegal services, deceptive financial schemes, essay-writing services, malware, or other unsuitable material.
  • Misleading health, legal, investment, or financial claims.

In this policy, “dofollow” is an informal industry term for an ordinary link without a qualifying attribute such as nofollow, sponsored, or ugc. We do not promise ordinary, followed, or SEO-value-passing links.

Link-building and SEO requests for a “dofollow link,” “permanent backlink,” “SEO placement,” “guest-post link,” or similar arrangement may be declined without a reply. Genuine story submissions, by contrast, will receive a response.

Our Link Policy
External links are included only when they help readers understand a story, verify information, or access a genuinely useful resource. We do not sell editorial endorsement.

Editorial Links
We may include an editorial link where it is useful to readers, such as a verified founder profile, official startup website, government resource, event page, or authoritative source.

The destination, placement, anchor text, and link attributes are determined solely by our editorial team. No contributor, company, agency, or partner may require a link as a condition of coverage.

Paid, Sponsored, and Affiliate Links
Where a link, article, listing, mention, or placement is connected to payment, sponsorship, affiliate commission, free products or services, or another form of compensation, we will disclose that relationship clearly.

Relevant links may be marked with rel=”sponsored” and may also include nofollow where appropriate.

User-Submitted Links
Links submitted by users through comments, contributor profiles, community features, or submission forms may be edited, removed, or marked with rel=”ugc” and/or nofollow.

Links We Do Not Endorse
Where we need to link to a page for reference but do not wish to endorse, vouch for, or be associated with it, we may use rel=”nofollow”.

Sponsored Content and Partnerships
We may work with organisations that genuinely contribute to the startup ecosystem, including incubators, accelerators, educational institutions, investors, technology providers, startup events, and community organisations.

Any sponsored article, paid partnership, advertorial, affiliate relationship, or compensated listing will:

  • Be clearly labelled as Sponsored, Partner Content, Advertisement, or another appropriate disclosure.
  • Be reviewed for relevance and basic quality.
  • Use appropriate link attributes for compensated links.
  • Remain distinct from independent editorial coverage.

Sponsorship does not guarantee a positive review, endorsement, editorial opinion, or ordinary external link. Partnership enquiries are welcome and can be discussed privately through our contact details below.

Submissions and Verification
For a startup story, interview request, ecosystem update, or expert contribution, we may ask for:

  • Founder or authorised representative name, role, and LinkedIn profile.
  • Startup name, official website, sector, location, and founding year.
  • A concise summary of the proposed story or announcement.
  • Supporting evidence for key claims, such as public announcements, media coverage, product information, or official documentation.
  • Original images, founder photographs, logo, or media assets that you are authorised to share.
  • Disclosure of any payment, commercial relationship, or expected benefit connected with the submission.

We may contact submitters for clarification, request evidence, fact-check claims, or decline material that cannot be reasonably verified.

Attribution and Bylines
Expert contributors, guest authors, and interviewed founders may receive a byline and a short author bio (two to three sentences) that can include their role, a link to a company website or LinkedIn profile, and a brief credibility statement.

Press releases and promotional announcements that we republish or substantially rewrite may be attributed to the company rather than an individual author. Founder name, company name, and location are included for company announcements; public attribution is standard because it underpins credibility.

Editorial Independence
Startup Success Stories India retains full editorial independence. We may edit headlines, copy, images, formatting, categories, internal links, external links, and disclosures.

We may add context or corrections, remove unsupported claims or irrelevant links, and remove content that is inaccurate, misleading, outdated, unlawful, or inconsistent with this policy.

Our coverage is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute investment, legal, tax, financial, business, or professional advice. Readers should conduct their own research and consult qualified advisers before making decisions.

Corrections and Updates
Accuracy matters to us. If you identify an error, outdated information, ownership issue, or incorrect link, please contact us with:

  • The page URL.
  • A clear description of the issue.
  • Supporting evidence or corrected information.
  • Your name and relationship to the matter.

We will review legitimate requests and update content where appropriate. We aim to acknowledge correction requests within a few business days and to review them within about a week, and we display a dated note on the page when a substantive correction is made.

Content Removal and Archiving
We may update, archive, or remove published content where it becomes inaccurate, where we receive a valid legal or intellectual-property complaint, where a submission is found to violate this policy, or where a reasonable takedown or privacy request is made by the subject of the coverage.

Where practical, we will attempt to contact the original contributor or founder before removal and explain the reason. If content is factually accurate but has changed over time, we will prefer to update or add a dated note rather than delete it. If you believe content has been removed incorrectly, contact us with the original URL, an explanation, and any supporting evidence, and we will review the request.

Policy Updates
We may update this Editorial Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our editorial practices, technology, applicable law, or search-engine guidance.

The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, any dispute relating to this policy or the use of this website shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Himachal Pradesh, India.
