Bengaluru, 26 November 2025 – Enerzi, a Belgaum-based deep-tech manufacturing company pioneering microwave–plasma hydrogen production and engineered carbons, has raised ₹16.5 crore in seed funding led by Capital-A, India’s first manufacturing-focused venture capital fund. The round also saw participation from 8x Ventures and a group of angel investors.
Enerzi is developing a next-generation clean hydrogen platform using microwave plasma reactors that convert methane into hydrogen while producing solid carbon nanopowder as a co-product. This dual-output strengthens hydrogen economics and opens applications across batteries, composites, and advanced materials engineering.
Alongside its clean energy platform, Enerzi manufactures industrial microwave-based heating systems used in rubber processing, polymer curing, foundry drying, and materials engineering. These systems improve energy efficiency and deliver high-precision heating, providing a strong engineering foundation for Enerzi’s transition into methane plasmolysis.
🚀 Scaling Innovation
The new capital will be deployed to:
- Expand manufacturing capacity
- Strengthen engineering and plasma science teams
- Accelerate commercial deployment of clean hydrogen and nanocarbon solutions in India and global markets
“This investment validates the deep-tech innovation we are building across microwave engineering, clean hydrogen generation, and nanocarbon synthesis,” said Prakash Mugali, Founder & CSO, Enerzi. “Our goal is to build India’s leading clean-hydrogen and nanocarbon platform with technology that is efficient, commercially strong, and planet-positive.”
💡 Investor Perspective
“Enerzi is well-positioned to shape India’s clean-energy and advanced-materials ecosystem,” said Ankit Kedia, Founder and Lead Investor, Capital-A. “Their ability to bring plasma science into scalable manufacturing reflects the kind of innovation the sector needs. We look forward to supporting their next phase of growth.”
🌐 Ecosystem Support
Enerzi is also a standout success story from Maxcel, Capital-A’s accelerator program launched in collaboration with SanchiConnect. Maxcel focuses on hardware and industrial technology startups, offering tailored go-to-market assistance. The program received 2,000+ applications, with Enerzi emerging as one of its flagship ventures.
