Garuda Aerospace Deploys Emergency Drone Fleet to Support Indian Army’s Flood Relief Operations

New Delhi, September 10, 2025 – Garuda Aerospace, India’s premier drone technology company, has successfully deployed more than ten specialized drones to assist the Indian Army in ongoing flood relief operations across Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. The emergency deployment has resulted in the delivery of over 300 kg of essential supplies to stranded communities, while providing crucial aerial surveillance capabilities to coordinate rescue efforts.

Critical Mission Support in Challenging Terrain

Himachal Pradesh Operations
In Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, Garuda Aerospace has deployed two heavy-lift delivery drones to transport vital supplies including medicines, food, and water to areas completely cut off by floodwaters. Operating in extremely challenging conditions characterized by narrow valleys, steep slopes, and disrupted road networks, the drones have maintained consistent supply lines to affected communities and local authorities.

Jammu and Kashmir Operations
Ten specialized Jawan drones have been deployed to support relief efforts in Chilla village, Kathua district, which became inaccessible due to severe flooding and landslides. Working in close coordination with the Indian Army and Kathua District Administration, these drones have successfully delivered essential provisions including food supplies, cooking oil, medicines, and other critical materials to multiple stranded families.

Technology Enabling Rapid Response

The deployed drones are conducting comprehensive aerial surveys to assess damage extent, identify vulnerable areas, and enhance coordination of relief efforts. This real-time intelligence capability has proven invaluable for strategic decision-making and resource allocation during the ongoing crisis.

Deployment in J&K and Himachal adds to Garuda’s track record in emergency response and national service

“As a proud citizen of India, I am honored to contribute to these critical relief efforts by deploying our drone technology during emergencies, ensuring timely and effective assistance reaches those who need it most,” said Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Founder and CEO of Garuda Aerospace. “Garuda Aerospace remains steadfastly committed to serving as a first responder whenever our nation calls upon us during times of crisis.”
