Infra.Market Becomes India’s Largest AAC Block Manufacturer, Paving the Way for Eco-Friendly Construction

  • Operates nine manufacturing plants across India with a strong annual production capacity of 3 million cubic metres

National, 6th September 2024 – Infra.Market, a leading player in India’s construction materials industry, has achieved a major milestone by becoming the nation’s largest manufacturer of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) blocks. With nine production facilities nationwide, the company now boasts an annual production capacity of 3 million cubic metres, advancing sustainable construction while efficiently catering to diverse regional markets and reducing both transportation costs and environmental impact.

AAC blocks, increasingly seen as a greener alternative to traditional bricks, now hold a 7-8% share of the conventional brick market. This shift reflects a growing awareness of environmental sustainability in construction. As a member of the Indian Green Building Council, Infra.Market is committed to promoting eco-friendly building practices.

Pankaj Phadnis, President-Retail at Infra.Market, emphasized, “Our growth in AAC block production responds to the evolving needs of India’s construction industry. We’re proud to deliver a product that not only performs exceptionally but also reduces the environmental footprint of building projects. This expansion, driven by substantial investments in technology and automation, will meet the rising demand for sustainable building materials across India.”

He added, “Our commitment to producing Grade 1 AAC blocks that offer strength and durability is reflected in our tagline, ‘Majboot Blocks, Majboot Deewarein.’ It symbolizes our promise to provide reliable products that builders can trust.”

The company has ambitious plans to further increase its annual production capacity in the coming years.

AAC blocks are lightweight yet robust, energy-efficient, and eco-friendly—key qualities that are increasingly vital in modern construction. These blocks incorporate recycled materials and provide superior insulation, aligning with government initiatives like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), which focuses on affordable, environmentally friendly housing. Infra.Market’s use of advanced technology ensures consistent quality and efficient production across all its manufacturing facilities, supported by an R&D lab dedicated to innovation and quality control.

Infra.Market’s leadership in AAC block production marks a significant shift in India’s construction landscape, highlighting a growing preference for materials that balance high performance with environmental responsibility. With plants in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Hubli, Kolhapur, Mumbai, Panipat, and Pune, the company is well-positioned to drive sustainable building practices and contribute to the ongoing transformation of India’s construction industry.
