With over 15 years of experience in category management and marketing in both B2B and B2C domains, Saurabh brings a wealth of knowledge from his previous roles at companies such as Amazon, Philips, and Udaan. Saurabh Batra, VP of  Business and PnL, Prodo, said,I am excited to build the future of manufacturing at Prodo. India’s manufacturing sector is expected to reach a $1 trillion dollar market size by 2030. We believe by creating visibility across the supply chain we can unlock a truly one-touch experience in manufacturing to serve clients in India and the global level.”

The startup’s cloud factory network includes more than 500 manufacturing units, and Prodo aims to standardize small and medium manufacturers to create a globally connected distributed manufacturing ecosystem. The company’s goal is to optimize supply chains for faster turnaround times and operational efficiency for clients, ensuring they receive the most value for their money.

Amit Goel will lead its India operations. With 17+ years of experience in operations, Goel brings expertise in manufacturing, supply chain management, and logistics operations from his time at companies such as Amazon, Flipkart, DHL, and LG Electronics. Goel will play a vital role in streamlining Prodo’s on-ground operations, to ensure the efficient and effective production and delivery of products to clients.

Amit Goel, Director of Operations, Prodo, said, Our goal is to unlock $2 billion production capacity in the next 4 years. Today, most of the MSME manufacturers are operating on 40%-60% of their production capacity. Even when there is plenty of demand in the market; the gap in demand-supply mapping and working capital results in underutilization. Prodo empowers its partner manufacturers by providing them with sustainable demand, working capital, raw material, SOPs, and technology to bring them up to the standards of global manufacturing”

The company, which specializes in fulfilling mid and large-scale manufacturing orders, has ambitious plans to reach a turnover of INR 400 crore by the end of financial year 2024. Founded by former OYO employees, Sameen Husain and Abhiroop Srivastava, in August 2021, the addition of Batra and Goel will help Prodo expand its presence in India and also launch its export arm.
