TAFE’s MASSEY DYNASTAR Contest - Season 2 recognizes grassroots agri-innovation; An IT employee turned farmer secured first prize worth Rs. 8.2 lakhs a brand new-tractor

New Delhi, India | 22nd August 2025: TAFE – Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited, one of the world’s largest tractor manufacturers and the proud maker of the legendary Massey Ferguson tractors in India, has successfully concluded Season 2 of the Massey DYNASTAR Contest 2025 | #SabseBadeAllrounder Ki Talaash. This pioneering initiative continues to spotlight original, scalable, and socially impactful ideas driven by the versatile Massey Ferguson DYNATRACK 241 tractor.

Massive Participation Across India

The second edition witnessed an impressive 16,000+ entries from 26 states and 5 Union Territories, reflecting India’s diverse agricultural ecosystem. From this pool, 12 finalists were chosen, representing seven states – Assam, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh. Participants included progressive farmers, rural entrepreneurs, and agri-students, showcasing India’s spirit of grassroots innovation in farming.

Grand Finale & Jury Evaluation

The Grand Finale featured a distinguished jury of industry leaders from Sales & Marketing, Operations, and Product Management. Finalists were evaluated on:

  • Innovation & Feasibility
  • Scalability of the idea
  • Potential for income generation
  • Societal impact

Winners of Massey DYNASTAR Contest Season 2

  • Grand Prize: Avinash Desai from Belgaum, Karnataka – an IT professional turned farmer – won for his innovative mobile slurry dewatering machine powered by the MF DYNATRACK 241. He received a brand-new MF 254 DYNASMART 2WD tractor worth approx. ₹8.2 lakh.
  • Second Prize: Prateek Agarwal from Hojai, Assam, for his solar-powered sustainable energy hub, rewarded with an 8 gm gold coin.
  • Third Prize: Amrit Jot Singh from Patiala, Punjab, for a water purification unit powered by MF DYNATRACK 241, also winning an 8 gm gold coin.
  • Jury’s Choice Award: Dr. Jayakumar Karuppusamy, retired IAS officer from Assam, for a multipurpose farm machine, honoured with a 50 gm silver coin.

Institutional Category Winners

  • First Prize: Agricultural Engineering College & Research Institute (TNAU), Trichy – for their 8-row tractor-mounted transplanter.
  • Second Prize: Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Erode – for an automated multi-vegetable transplanter.
    Both student teams also secured internship opportunities with TAFE, underlining the company’s commitment to nurturing young agri-innovators.

Rewards & Recognition

Season 2 prizes included tractors, gold and silver coins, innovation hampers, and development grants. Beyond rewards, the contest reinforced TAFE’s mission of empowering rural India, driving farmer-led R&D, and promoting real-world agricultural innovation.

Looking Ahead – Season 3 in 2026

Building on the overwhelming success of Season 2, TAFE announced the return of Season 3 in 2026, promising an even broader reach, greater scale, and deeper impact on India’s agricultural landscape.
