10,000 Colleges Across 400+ Cities Participate in First Edition of Franklin Templeton National Mutual Fund Olympiad

Launched by FinX in partnership with Franklin Templeton, the Olympiad engaged 10,000 students from 400+ colleges across 400 cities, with strong participation from Tier‑2 and Tier‑3 towns.

Mumbai | February 3, 2026: The Franklin Templeton National Mutual Fund Olympiad (FTNMFO), India’s first‑ever nationwide mutual fund Olympiad, concluded its grand finale at Asia’s oldest stock exchange, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Mumbai.

Launched by FinX in partnership with Franklin Templeton, the Olympiad aimed to foster financial literacy, investment awareness, and capital market knowledge among India’s youth. The inaugural edition reached over 10,000 students from 400+ colleges across 400 cities, with strong participation from Tier‑2 and Tier‑3 towns, underscoring the growing appetite for financial education across India.

Competition Highlights

  • National Winner: Sameer Kulkarni, Christ University, Bangalore
  • 1st Runner‑Up: Prathamesh Bagad, Chetana’s Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai
  • 2nd Runner‑Up: Varun Suresh, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore

The finale featured representation from leading institutions including Jai Hind College, IIFT, VIT, IIT, Lady Shri Ram College, Christ University, Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, Siva Sivani Institute of Management, Sarala Birla University, Chetana’s Institute of Management & Research, and SIES School of Business Studies.

The grand finale was graced by Venkat Chalasani, CEO of AMFI, who applauded the participants’ enthusiasm for financial literacy. Other distinguished leaders included:
