Delhi: October 23, 2019 – True Balance, a one-stop fin-tech app that aims to empower the next billion unbanked consumers in India with its diverse range of financial products and services, has now tied up with Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) for train-ticket bookings. As part of this tie up, all True Balance users who have registered accounts with IRCTC will now be able to easily and securely book their train tickets through the app on their phones. Consumers can also avail all other information regarding their bookings be it their PNR status, train schedules as well as book Tatkal tickets for emergency bookings.
Considering that an average of 8 lakhs train bookings are made by passengers every day on the IRCTC website, this partnership will open up a world of convenient and easy train-travel bookings for true balance users registered on the IRCTC website in the Tier II/III regions of India, especially with the festive season just around the corner. Frequent users who’ve downloaded the True Balance app on their smartphones can now make their bookings on the app in a few, easy clicks without having to repeatedly fill in passenger details every time they book their tickets.
The voice command feature makes the platform even more convenient for train bookings as it helps avoid the risk of typing in wrong details — a handy tool for those who cannot write or find repeatedly sharing information tedious. Users can easily pay for their train bookings through Wallet/Gift Card/CC/Net Banking/ Free Points and UPI/DC. Each booking stands a chance to earn additional cash-back, which will add up directly in their True Balance wallets.
“The number of passengers who took trains in 2017-18 was a whopping 8.2 billion. Passengers can now pay for their tickets seamlessly and securely, within seconds through the True Balance app. Through this partnership with IRCTC, we are reiterating our commitment to digitise all of India through our unique and innovative products and services,” said Charlie Lee, Founder of True Balance.
