Inken Braunschmidt, one of the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Engineering, visits India

Bengaluru, 24th October 2019: Inken Braunschmidt, Chief Innovation and Digital Officer, Halma plc, a FTSE 100 global group of life-saving technology companies will be visiting Halma’s operations, companies and strategic partners in India this week.

This follows the news last week that Inken was named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Engineering, along with two other Halma leaders – Jennifer Ward, Group Talent and Communications Director, and Daniela Barone Soares, independent non-executive Director.

The list of the most influential women in Engineering, produced by board appointments firm Inclusive Boards, in partnership withleading global business publication the Financial Times, will be officially released at the Inclusive Boards: Women in Engineering Leadership Conference today.  

Over the past five years, Halma has doubled the number of women on its plc Board to 40% and achieved 50% gender balance on its Executive Board, starting from 0% in 2013. Halma is a member of the “30% Club” which campaigns for better gender diversity on UK boards.    

Halma has over 45 companies operating in markets across the world. Its companies develop technology for safety, health and environmental applications. To stimulate international sales growth, particularly in Asia Pacific, Halma established hubs in India and China. The India hub has been operating since 2008. These full-service business centres are providing a quick-start platform for rapid market entry for Halma’s operating companies.
